National | 29th July, 2026: Avio Smart Market Stack Limited (ASMS), formerly known as Bartronics India Ltd., has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ProClime Services Private Limited. The collaboration is focused on jointly developing and commercializing next-generation biochar-based soil enhancement solutions designed to enhance agricultural productivity while supporting India's climate action objectives.

The partnership merges ASMS's established rural network, deep agricultural expertise, and formulation capabilities with ProClime's specialization in carbon project development and biochar production. The combined efforts will concentrate on creating scientifically validated biochar-integrated fertilizer formulations intended to improve soil fertility, boost water retention, increase crop productivity, and enable long-term carbon sequestration in agricultural ecosystems.

The initiative involves comprehensive research and laboratory analysis planned at IIT Roorkee, followed by extensive agronomic validation across various soil types, agro-climatic conditions, and multiple crop varieties. Furthermore, the partnership will evaluate biochar derived from sustainable feedstocks such as bamboo, lantana, senna, pine needles, and agricultural residues to define optimal commercial deployment formulations.

The strategic alliance is also dedicated to establishing pathways for generating verified carbon credits through biochar application, allowing farmers and agricultural stakeholders opportunities to benefit from emerging carbon markets while embracing sustainable farming practices.
