
Cochin Shipyard Limited Extends Charge of Chairman & Managing Director to Finance Director Jose V J
Cochin Shipyard Limited, a Category-1 Miniratna Company under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has received approval for the extension of the additional charge of its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) to Shri Jose V J, Director (Finance).The decision was communicated by the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, following approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Department of Personnel and Training on July 29, 2026.
This extension pertains to the role entrusted to Shri Jose V J subsequent to the retirement on superannuation of the then CMD, Shri Madhu Sankunny Nair. The additional charge for Shri Jose V J is now extended for a further period of seven months.
The designation remains effective starting August 01, 2026, and will continue until the assumption of charge by a regular incumbent or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earliest.
