Chennai | July 28, 2026 — Kreon Finnancial Services Limited has reported a significant increase in profitability for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, signaling its transformation into a technology-driven fintech enterprise aimed at bridging gaps in student finance across India. The company is strategically building StuCred, a comprehensive digital financial ecosystem to support students from campus life through their professional transition.

The company demonstrated strong growth across its key financial metrics during Q1 FY 2026-27.

Revenue from operations rose by 46.0%, reaching ₹14.79 crore in Q1 FY 2026-27, up from ₹10.13 crore in Q1 FY 2025-26. Total income saw a 34.4% increase during the same period, moving from ₹11.76 crore to ₹15.80 crore.

Profit after tax grew substantially to ₹4.75 crore, compared to ₹0.36 crore in Q4 FY 2025-26. Earnings per share also saw a considerable increase, rising from ₹0.18 to ₹2.35. The improved profitability is attributed to business expansion, higher transaction volumes, operating leverage, and the accounting impact of changes in the Company's Expected Credit Loss process during the quarter.

Operational Scaling and Tech Adoption​

Operational performance metrics reinforce Kreon’s rapid scaling and sustained customer engagement. Cumulative gross disbursements through the StuCred platform have surpassed ₹1,100 crore as of the end of Q1 FY 2026-27.

In terms of lending activity:
  • During FY 2025-26, StuCred disbursed loans aggregating ₹357 crore.
  • For Q1 FY 2026-27 alone, the platform processed ₹109 crore in disbursements.
  • Quarterly disbursements increased from ₹92 crore in Q4 FY 2025-26 to ₹109 crore in Q1 FY 2026-27, marking a sequential growth of approximately 18.5%.

The platform also serves a large user base. Students credited through StuCred were 1,70,871 in Q4 FY 2025-26, and this number grew to 2,03,527 students in Q1 FY 2026-27, representing a 19.1% increase.

In terms of platform activity, the number of credit transactions processed increased from 7.75 lakh in Q4 FY 2025-26 to 9.57 lakh in Q1 FY 2026-27, indicating sequential growth of approximately 23.5%.

Building a Financial Ecosystem through AI​
