The number of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) operational across India has surged dramatically, growing from 9,776 in 2014 to over 13,888 today. The programme recorded over 4.5 lakh enrolments across various sectors in emerging technology domains. Furthermore, the global recognition of Indian skills is evident, with the nation improving its ranking from 29th in 2015 to 13th in 2024 at international competitions.
