Glenmark Pharmaceuticals US launches Calcium Gluconate Injection USP; Product Bioequivalent to Reference Drug​

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA has announced the launch of several variants of its Calcium Gluconate Injection USP. The products include Single-Dose Vials (1,000 mg/10 mL and 5,000 mg/50 mL) and a Pharmacy Bulk Package (10,000 mg/100 mL).

The newly launched Glenmark's Calcium Gluconate Injection USP is noted as being bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug, which is manufactured by Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC. The reference product has established designations of 1,000 mg/10 mL (100 mg/mL), 5,000 mg/50 mL (100 mg/mL), and 10,000 mg/100 mL (100 mg/mL) [NDA 208418].

According to IQVIA sales data for the 12-month period ending June 2026, the market for Calcium Gluconate Injection, covering all available therapeutic equivalents, achieved annual sales of approximately $69.9 million.

Commenting on the launch, Marc Kikuchi, President and Business Head of North America at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, stated that the introduction of Calcium Gluconate Injection USP represents a significant step in reinforcing Glenmark's injectables business within the U.S. and expanding its hospital portfolio.

He added that the product reflects the disciplined execution of the strategy to build a differentiated and sustainable injectables business. This initiative aims to address institutional needs, support greater supply resilience, and deepen Glenmark's relevance across the U.S. healthcare system.

Glenmark's Calcium Gluconate Injection USP is approved for all indications listed in its approved label.
