Fascinate Textiles Listing Debut: Shares Plunge 20% Despite Massive Institutional Demand Spike

The debut of Fascinate Textiles Ltd. on the NSE SME platform generated significant market attention, yet saw a disappointing initial performance. The shares debuted at ₹120.80 per share, finishing well below their issue price of ₹151, registering a 20% discount to the IPO valuation.

The stock witnessed further weakness post-listing, touching an intraday low of ₹114.80. This muted trading action contrasts sharply with the strong demand displayed during the subscription period. The company’s offering received substantial institutional backing, despite its initial listing struggle.

IPO Subscription and Offer Details

Fascinate Textiles’ Initial Public Offering (IPO) was open from August 11 to August 19, 2026, and achieved a collective subscription of 1.48 times. The demand breakdown showed robust interest across different investor segments.

The retail portion of the IPO was subscribed 1.37 times. Non-Institutional Investors (NII) also showed support, subscribing at 1.06 times. Most notably, the Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB) category demonstrated overwhelming confidence in the stock, with the issue being subscribed an impressive 22.74 times.

The IPO size amounted to ₹64.83 crore. This figure comprised a fresh issue of 35 lakh shares valued at ₹52.21 crore and an Offer For Sale (OFS) component of 8 lakh shares worth ₹12.62 crore. The company had established the price band for the IPO between ₹142–₹151 per share.

Financial Strength: FY26 Profitability Surge

Fascinate Textiles has demonstrated significant underlying growth momentum, reflected in its strong financial performance during the fiscal year 2026 (FY26). The company’s overall profitability experienced a sharp rise.

Total income surged by 94%, nearly doubling from ₹60.28 crore reported in FY25 to ₹117.23 crore in FY26. This strong revenue growth was complemented by an even sharper jump in Profit After Tax (PAT). PAT jumped 159%, climbing from ₹5.81 crore in FY25 to ₹15.07 crore in FY26.

These substantial increases in both top-line revenue and bottom-line profits underscore the company’s robust operational health and market traction during the fiscal year.

Future Plans and Capital Allocation

The net proceeds generated from the IPO are earmarked for several strategic uses aimed at expanding the company's infrastructure and strengthening its financial footing. The fund utilisation plan shows a commitment to capacity growth and debt management.

A portion of the proceeds, specifically ₹12.40 crore, has been allocated towards capital expenditure (CapEx). This investment is designated for setting up an additional manufacturing facility. Furthermore, ₹19.03 crore is allotted to meet working capital requirements.

The company plans to use ₹2.68 crore for the prepayment or repayment of certain secured and unsecured borrowings. The remaining proceeds will be directed towards general corporate purposes and issue-related expenses. This planned allocation aims to support capacity expansion and improve overall financial stability.
