Glenmark Launches Lacosamide Injection USP in United States
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA has announced the launch of its Lacosamide Injection USP, available in Single-Dose Vials at a concentration of 200 mg/20 mL (10 mg/mL). The injection is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to Vimpat® 2 Injection, 200 mg/20 mL (10 mg/mL), manufactured by UCB, Inc.The launch reflects Glenmark's strategy to expand its differentiated product portfolio within the United States.
According to IQVIA® sales data for the 12-month period ending April 2026, the Vimpat® Injection market achieved annual sales of approximately $15.2 million.
Commenting on the new offering, Marc Kikuchi, President and Business Head, North America at Glenmark stated that expanding the injectable product portfolio enhances the company's ability to meet the evolving needs of healthcare providers. He added that this launch advances their commitment to improving patient access to quality, affordable treatment options.
