Glenmark Launches Sugammadex Injection in US Market
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA (Glenmark), has launched its new Sugammadex Injection Single-Dose Vials in the United States. The launch includes two formats: 200 mg/2 mL (100 mg/mL) and 500 mg/5 mL (100 mg/mL).The Sugammadex Injection is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to BRIDION® Injection, 100 mg/mL, which is a drug manufactured by Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC.
Market insights provided by IQVIA sales data indicate that the market for the BRIDION® Injection, 100 mg/mL achieved annual sales of approximately $1.6 billion based on the 12-month period ending May 2026.
Marc Kikuchi, President and Business Head for North America at Glenmark, commented on the launch, stating that Sugammadex Injection is a significant addition to Glenmark's expanding U.S. injectables portfolio. He added that the Day 1 launch underscores the company’s agility and execution discipline regarding its injectable strategy.
