EaseMyTrip Launches ReSave to Provide Post-Booking Fare Savings and Enhance Price Transparency
EaseMyTrip, a leading online travel technology platform in India, has introduced 'ReSave,' a new zero cost flight add on designed to help travelers benefit from fare drops even after completing their booking. This technological offering strengthens the company's value proposition by extending support beyond the initial point of sale. The introduction of ReSave directly addresses the uncertainty faced by travelers when fares can fluctuate following a purchase. The service is designed to mitigate this post booking gap by continuously monitoring booked flight itineraries for eligible price reductions, enabling customers to access applicable savings as per the plan terms.
ReSave differs from conventional fare monitoring tools because it is integrated into EaseMyTrip's booking journey. It is offered to existing customers as a zero cost add on. If an eligible fare reduction is identified under the plan terms, 100% of the net savings determined through the ReSave process are returned entirely to the customer with no additional charges.
Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co Founder of EaseMyTrip, commented on the launch stating that travel technology has evolved beyond simply aiding faster searches or efficient transactions. He highlighted that the next significant opportunity lies in using technology to generate value across the entire travel lifecycle, including after a booking is finalized. ReSave aligns with this principle, providing customers an avenue to benefit when fares decline subsequently. Pittie added that for the industry, this shift signifies moving from transaction led technology toward tools that remain relevant throughout the customer journey, aiming to make pricing more transparent and the value delivered more enduring.
The ReSave initiative forms part of EaseMyTrip's strategy to build a diversified travel ecosystem. The company is simultaneously advancing its Agentic AI capabilities to make travel more intelligent and personalized by exploring ways to anticipate customer needs across various stages of their journey. This move reinforces the company’s commitment to price transparency, customer value, and technology led engagement throughout the entire travel process.
