Commenting on the quarter’s results, Mr. Ravi Jaipuria, Non-Executive Chairman of Devyani International Limited, stated that the company began the new financial year with a powerful foundation. He noted that momentum built during the second half of FY26 continued into Q1 FY27, driven by KFC's strong same store sales performance and positive SSSG across most brands in the portfolio.

Mr. Jaipuria highlighted that not only did KFC continue to post double-digit sales growth with 3.3% SSSG, but other concepts such as Biryani by Kilo, Costa, and Vaango maintained a greater than 7% SSSG trajectory. Pizza Hut also showed sequentially improved SSSG numbers.

The Chairman attributed the enhanced profitability to the company's capability and commitment to deliver sustainable growth despite facing cost inflation related to LPG and wage hike in the operating environment.
