Key Details of Lalithaa Jewellery Mart's IPO

The allocation to anchor investors involved 2.52 crore equity shares, which were granted at the upper end of the defined IPO price band, set between ₹190 and ₹201 per share. The public subscription phase for the IPO is scheduled to run from August 17 to August 19.

The complete IPO structure comprises a fresh issue of shares amounting to ₹1,200 crore. This is complemented by an Offer for Sale (OFS) worth up to Rs 500 crore, which will be managed by promoter Kiran Kumar Jain. Domestic financial institutions also showed strong commitment; four domestic mutual funds, including ICICI Prudential AMC and Bandhan Mutual Fund, were allotted 1.14 crore shares across nine schemes.

Business Expansion Plans Post-IPO

Lalithaa Jewellery Mart has outlined aggressive growth plans, intending to use a substantial portion of the fresh issue proceeds for rapid physical expansion. The company plans to allocate ₹1,033.2 crore from the net IPO proceeds specifically for setting up 10 new stores across India.

Currently operating 61 stores spanning 51 cities in Southern India, the retailer focuses on selling gold, silver, and diamond jewellery that is tailored to regional preferences. The firm sees the successful completion of the IPO as a critical milestone to amplify its national footprint through this strategic expansion.
