Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Reports Q1 FY27 Results, Reflecting Strategic Acquisitions and Market Positioning

Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Limited, a fintech player specializing in spend management products and solutions, has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. The results showed growth in revenue from operations but also reflected changes in profitability attributed to acquisitions and operational scaling efforts.

The company’s performance data for Q1 FY27 compared to Q1 FY26 highlights a significant rise in revenue, although profit after tax saw a reduction.

Consolidated financial figures (in ₹ Million) are detailed below:

Financial MetricQ1 FY27Q1 FY26Year over Year Change

Profit After Tax175.3261.1-32.9%
PAT Margin4.1%7.9%-

Key Operational Highlights and Challenges

The company noted that Propel margins surged due to a strong performance from Greenedge and overriding commissions received during the quarter. Incentive and Cashback as a percentage of revenue stood at approximately 66.3%, which is an optimization from 69% recorded in Q4 FY26.

However, the EBITDA Margin reduction was attributed to several factors: expenses related to the Dice acquisition—including transaction costs, one-time vendor payments, and relocation expenses for over 100 professionals; revenue from Dice contracts, which did not register in Q1 FY27 and are expected to begin reflecting starting Q2 FY27 onwards; a moderated push of expenses into the P&L that were previously capitalized; increments for existing employees; and added employee costs and other expenses resulting from the acquisition of Zagg.Money.

Strategic Initiatives and Future Outlook

Raj P Narayanam, Founder and Executive Chairman of Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services Limited, commented on the results, stating that Q1 FY27 marks an inflection point as the company transitions from a period of profitable growth into one of transformation through consolidation. The current focus is described as optimizing core operations, scaling AI across platforms, and integrating recent acquisitions while instituting greater cash flow discipline to prepare for higher-margin growth.

Mr Narayanam also detailed significant strategic moves made during the quarter:

  • Investment in Unobanc: Zaggle completed an investment of Rs. 80 Mn in Unobanc Private Limited, a subsidiary of Hop Financial Solutions Limited that holds an Authorised Dealer Category II licence from RBI. This move aims to strengthen capabilities in cross-border payments, forex cards, and remittances for both corporate and retail clients.
  • Dice Client Acquisition: The company secured marquee enterprise clients from Dice, including Hindalco, Bajel, Trident Group, IDFC First Bank, Lenskart, Nephroplus, and XpressBees. Furthermore, the technical expertise from Dice is accelerating Zaggle’s AI roadmap across Save and Zoyer, enhancing automated spend analytics and predictive expense management.
