TCS Secures Multi-Million Euro AI Transformation Mandate from Canada Life

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a major multi-million euro technology transformation and managed services contract with Canada Life, one of the globe's leading life and pensions insurers. The agreement solidifies TCS’s role as a key digital partner, tasked with modernizing and managing Canada Life's entire IT infrastructure across its European business units.

This strategic partnership places TCS at the forefront of the global trend toward AI-led modernization in the financial services sector. The mandate involves overhauling core infrastructure, end-user computing, data centers, and software lifecycle management for the insurer's Europe operations.

Enhancing Operational Resilience with AI Deployment

Under the contract, TCS will leverage its advanced artificial intelligence and digital capabilities to drive significant operational improvements at Canada Life. The technology deployment is designed not only to boost automation levels but also to substantially enhance the overall user experience within the organization.

The partnership aims to combine TCS’s specialized technological expertise with Canada Life's internal teams. This collaboration supports the insurer's long-term strategy for technology transformation. As Caroline Dibbs, Chief Information and Transformation Officer for Europe at Canada Life stated, "TCS brings deep technical expertise, strong transformation capabilities and a collaborative approach that aligns well with our strategy."

Strengthening TCS’s Focus on AI and BFSI Sector

The contract win serves as a powerful endorsement of TCS's specialization in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) domain. Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK & Ireland at TCS, highlighted that this engagement underscores the company's concentrated focus on AI-led transformation.

He added that by deploying their deep domain expertise, TCS will help Canada Life achieve enhanced resilience and operational efficiency. This effort aims to create a more agile and responsive IT ecosystem capable of supporting the insurer’s continuous growth trajectory.

Strategic Expansion in UK and European Markets

A significant element of this multi-year agreement is the commitment by TCS to expand its infrastructure services talent pool across several key jurisdictions. These include the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Germany.

TCS plans to invest substantially into training, certification, and dedicated career development programs for the expanded workforce in these regions. This move reinforces TCS's expansion strategy, positioning the company as a critical hub for delivering comprehensive transformation services to insurance clients across Europe.
