
TCS signs multiyear agreement with Canada Life to transform European IT operations using AI
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a multiyear transformation and managed services agreement with Canada Life, a leading global life and pensions insurer. The partnership is set to modernize Canada Life's entire IT infrastructure across its European businesses by leveraging TCS' advanced capabilities in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.The strategic collaboration encompasses the management and modernization of critical aspects of Canada Life's operations, including data centres, core infrastructure, end-user computing, and software lifecycle management. This effort is designed to enhance operational resilience, increase automation levels, and significantly improve the user experience for Canada Life's customers.
TCS will utilize its extensive technology expertise in this initiative, working alongside Canada Life teams to build a solid foundation for the insurer’s long-term technological evolution. The program aims not only to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, performance driven IT services but also to help Canada Life accelerate its technology strategy and achieve stronger business outcomes while scaling its services effectively.
Caroline Dibbs, Chief Information & Transformation Officer for Europe at Canada Life, commented on the partnership, stating that working with TCS represents the next stage of their modernization journey. She emphasized choosing a partner who shares their commitment to people and innovation, noting that TCS brings deep technical expertise and a collaborative approach aligned with the company's strategy.
Vinay Singhvi, Head of UK & Ireland at Tata Consultancy Services, expressed his delight at being selected as the strategic partner for Canada Life’s technology modernization journey in the UK and Europe. He described the cooperation as evidence of TCS’ leadership in AI-led transformation, which contributes to the company's goal of becoming the world's largest AI-led technology services provider. "By leveraging our deep domain expertise, we will help Canada Life achieve greater operational efficiency, enhance resilience, and create a more agile, responsive IT ecosystem," Singhvi stated.
The agreement also involves TCS building its talent pool across infrastructure services in the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, and Germany. The company plans to invest significantly in new learning, certification, and career development opportunities for its workforce.
This engagement reinforces TCS’ position as a preferred transformation partner within the BFSI sector (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) and bolsters its expansion in the UK and Ireland, which serves as a strategic hub for delivering high-value, end-to-end services to insurance clients across the region.
As of the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, Tata Consultancy Services generated consolidated revenues exceeding US $30 billion.
