Scale of AI Skill Training on iGOT Platform
The reach of digital training has been extensively quantified across government entities. Over 1.70 crore government employees have been successfully onboarded onto the iGOT Karmayogi platform from various Ministries, Departments, and State/UT Governments.To facilitate this technological shift, the platform currently hosts 218 dedicated courses covering Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies. The dedication of civil servants has yielded impressive results, with over 3.3 crore course completions recorded by learners on these AI-focused courses.
Compliance and Data Protection Framework
Alongside capacity building, establishing a robust data protection framework is paramount to the digital transition. The government notified the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("Act"), along with the associated Rules in 2025.These regulations were officially established on November 13, 2025. They ensure that all personal data processing meets strict standards of legality and transparency. Specifically, they require free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent from the individual whose data is being processed.
Status of Administrative AI Trials in Constituencies
Regarding the administrative deployment of advanced technologies, the Minister of State confirmed the current status of trials across various constituencies. All AI and emerging technology courses available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform are completely accessible to every government employee onboarded onto the system.However, it was noted that no trial for promoting the administrative use of Artificial Intelligence has been conducted specifically within the Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency at this time. The focus remains heavily concentrated on scaling up educational access and compliance across the entire workforce.
