Kalpataru Projects International Limited has approved the appointment of Mr. Gautam Mehra as an Additional Director designated as an Independent Director, effective from June 9, 2026. This designation is for a period of five consecutive years and is subject to approval by shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).The appointment was made following a Board meeting where the Nomination and Remuneration Committee recommended Mr. Mehra. The company confirmed that Mr. Mehra satisfies the independence criteria set forth by regulatory provisions, is not debarred from holding directorial office, and holds no relationship with any existing directors of the Company.
Mr. Gautam Mehra brings extensive experience to the role, serving as a business advisor with four decades of professional engagement. His career history includes over a decade spent in entrepreneurship building a boutique professional services practice, followed by more than two decades in partnership at PwC.
At PwC, Mr. Mehra managed the India Tax and Regulatory practice and the Asset Management Sector. He was a member of the Core India Leadership Team and oversaw global strategic client relationships. His advisory work includes assisting multiple funds invested in India and multinational corporations with investments, acquisitions, business transformation, set-ups, and succession planning for Indian business groups and families.
As an advocate on regulatory and tax matters, Mr. Mehra has engaged extensively with regulators and industry bodies. He currently serves as a Corporate Advisor and an Independent Board Member.
Mr. Mehra's professional credentials include being a qualified Chartered Accountant and Lawyer. He is also a Certified Coach and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD. His affiliations include serving on the Boards and Committees of APREA, CII, Amcham India, and the ICAI. Furthermore, he is a member of two committees constituted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
