JSW reported that the higher production in May 2026 was primarily attributed to the full operational status of the Dolvi unit (following a planned maintenance shutdown at one Blast Furnace in May 2025) and the ramp-up of Joint Venture Manufacturing Ltd (JVML) operations.

Operational Status and Capacity Utilization​

Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar is currently undergoing a shutdown for capacity upgradation and is scheduled to recommence operations in the second fortnight of June 2026.

For the Indian operations, capacity utilization for May was reported at approximately 98% excluding the BF3 capacity, while including BF3 capacity, utilization stood at 87%.
