The company noted that Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) at Vijayanagar is currently undergoing a shutdown for capacity upgradation, which impacted Crude Steel production at the Indian operations level. However, production growth, when excluding the BF3 output from the previous year’s base, was approximately 10%. This growth was driven by the full ramp-up of JVML operations.
Regarding capacity utilization in the Indian operations for April, the utilization stood at approximately 94% when excluding the BF3 capacity and 83% when including the BF3 capacity.
