Operational and Strategic Updates​

The company reported several key operational and strategic developments:

  • Capacity Addition: The company recorded its highest-ever quarterly organic capacity addition in the power sector. Renewable capacity increased by 1,081 MW, bringing the total installed capacity to 14,535 MW.
  • Asset Commissioning: A 150 MW Tidong Hydro plant was fully commissioned ahead of schedule. Furthermore, a wind blade manufacturing facility at Halo in Gujarat was operationalized, strengthening backward integration capabilities.
  • Inorganic Growth and Acquisitions: JSW Energy signed a definitive agreement to acquire Maruti Clean Coal & Power Limited (MCCPL), which operates a 300 MW thermal plant in Chhattisgarh, for an enterprise value of approximately 1,410 crores. The company also increased its stake in Toshiba JSW Power Systems JV to 10.7% on a fully diluted basis.
  • Financing and Liquidity: The company raised approximately 4,000 crore through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) to accelerate growth. Additionally, the group monetized part of its stake in JSW Steel through a strategic liquidity release, realizing gross proceeds of approximately 3,150 crore.
