JSW Energy PSP Eleven Limited (JEPEL), a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has secured orders worth ₹443.74 crore from Bondada Renewable Energy Private Limited. These orders involve the supply of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Power Conversion System (PCS) solutions to the client.

Bondada Renewable Energy Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bondada Engineering Limited. The transaction represents a significant move in JSW Energy's strategy for expansion within the energy storage segment, highlighting its commitment across the entire energy value chain.

JSW Energy PSP Eleven Limited, which operates a 5 GWh per annum battery assembly plant located in Pune, will supply these essential BESS and PCS solutions. Battery Energy Storage Systems are crucial for supporting grid stability, peak load management, renewable energy integration, and ensuring continuous power supply within India’s evolving power ecosystem.

The order reinforces JSW Energy's growing presence in the technology space. The company currently holds a total locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW. This portfolio includes 14.53 GW operational capacity and 13.0 GW under construction, spanning thermal, hydro, and renewable assets.

Furthermore, JSW Energy possesses 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity. This storage mix comprises 26.4 GWh in pumped hydro storage and 3.2 GWh dedicated to battery energy storage systems.

The company has ambitious goals set for the future. By 2030, JSW Energy aims to achieve a total power generation capacity of 30 GW and an energy storage capacity of 40 GWh. The long-term vision includes achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
