
Telangana Government Begins ₹9,000 Crore Rythu Bharosa Disbursement for 70 Lakh Farmers
Hyderabad, March 22: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Sunday announced the rollout of ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa investment support scheme, with funds set to be distributed to around 70 lakh farmers in a phased manner over the next 45 days.Speaking at a public rally after inaugurating an oil palm processing factory in Narmeta village of Siddipet district, the Chief Minister outlined the disbursement schedule and highlighted the government’s focus on strengthening farmer welfare.
Phased Release Plan for Rythu Bharosa Funds
Revanth Reddy stated that the financial assistance will be released in three installments to ensure timely support to beneficiaries.The first tranche of ₹3,600 crore is scheduled for release on March 23. This will be followed by ₹5,400 crore within the next 20 days, while the remaining amount will be disbursed in another 20 days, completing the distribution cycle within 45 days.
“Within 45 days from now, ₹9,000 crore in Rythu Bharosa funds will be credited to 70 lakh farmers,” the Chief Minister said.
Government Highlights Increased Spending on Farmer Welfare
During his address, Reddy emphasized that the current Congress government has significantly increased its expenditure on agricultural support. He noted that the administration is spending an average of ₹5,500 crore on farmers’ welfare, compared to ₹2,700 crore under the previous BRS government.Development Projects Worth ₹775.72 Crore Launched
Alongside the scheme announcement, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for multiple development projects in Siddipet district.
