Initial Listing Performance and Key Figures​

Purple Style Labs made a lukewarm debut on the stock exchanges on September 7. The shares opened at a discount to the issue price, which was set at Rs 575 per share. On the NSE, the stock debuted at Rs 535, reflecting a 6.96 percent decline from the issue price. On the BSE, the shares listed at Rs 539, showing a 6.26 percent discount.

The company's market capitalization stood at approximately Rs 4,315.29 crore following the listing. This debut performance was notably weaker compared to the preceding grey market trends.

Subscription Details of the Initial Public Offering​

The IPO was subscribed 1.29 times overall. The offering comprised a fresh issue of 1.18 crore equity shares. The retail investor portion received a subscription of 1.58 times. The Qualified Institutional Buyer (QIB) category was subscribed 1.43 times. The Non-Institutional Investor (NII) portion was subscribed at 84 percent.

The IPO process included bids for around 88.66 lakh shares against 68.49 lakh shares on offer. There was no Offer For Sale (OFS) component in the issue.

Anchor Investor Allocation and Funding Structure​

Before the public listing, Purple Style Labs raised Rs 306 crore from anchor investors on August 28. The company allotted 53.21 lakh shares at Rs 575 apiece to 10 anchor investors.

The anchor investors who participated included Morgan Stanley Asia, BofA Securities Europe, Integrated Core Strategies, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Jupiter India Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company, ITI Mutual Fund, and Singularity Equity Fund I.

Company Operations and Future Utilization of IPO Proceeds​

Purple Style Labs is promoted by Abhishek Agarwal. The company operates Pernia's Pop-Up Shop, which functions as a multi-brand luxury fashion platform. It offers designer products spanning women's wear, men's wear, jewellery, and accessories.

Currently, the company operates 14 Experience Centers, 12 of which are located in metropolitan cities across India. Sales are also driven through their digital platform, as well as through events and exhibitions.

The IPO documents state that a significant part of the IPO proceeds will be used for the benefit of its subsidiary, PSL Retail. These funds will cover lease liabilities for Experience Centers and back-end offices in India, sales and marketing expenditure, and general corporate purposes.
