The company marked the groundbreaking of its flagship Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) project in the Siddipet district. Scaling India's Clean Fuel Potential with 100 TPD Capacity
The project is structured as a substantial cluster development comprising 10 individual CBG plants. Each unit will possess a capacity of 10 tons per day (TPD). Cumulatively, this builds a total projected production capacity of 100 TPD.The entire venture carries a planned total investment of ₹700 crore. The initial deployment begins with Phase 1 at Narmetta. This first phase involves three CBG units, each rated at 10 TPD, with an investment commitment of ₹210 crore.
Phased Rollout Targets 2030 Milestone
Juno Joule plans a methodical, three-pronged implementation strategy. Phase 1 is followed by Phase 2, which includes three more plants. The final phase, Phase 3, will integrate four additional units.Experts suggest this structured growth path is designed for robust scalability. The entire cluster is anticipated to reach completion by the 2029–2030 timeline.
Transforming Agricultural Waste into Economic Power
A core feature of the project is its feedstock utilization. Juno Joule's CBG plants are designed to convert diverse waste streams into clean fuel. These streams include paddy straw and organic waste such as poultry waste and cattle dung.This approach tackles pressing environmental issues head-on. It directly addresses concerns like agricultural stubble burning and reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, it fosters a circular economy model.
Boosting Energy Security via Strategic Partnerships
The project’s commercial viability is significantly bolstered by robust offtake agreements. The initiative has secured structured agreements with GAIL (India) Limited and Bhagyanagar Gas Limited (BGL).These partnerships are vital as they ensure direct integration into the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network. This guarantees a stable supply for both mobility and industrial applications within the Hyderabad region.
Government Support Drives Rural Economic Upliftment
The entire project is being implemented under the Government of India’s CBG–CGD Synchronisation scheme. This scheme specifically targets the integration of compressed bio-gas into the existing City Gas Distribution (CGD) network.Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu highlighted the development's broader impact. He stated that such projects not only solve environmental challenges but also generate fresh economic avenues for local communities and farmers.
