
DCB Bank Registers Highest Ever Quarterly Profit After Tax in Q1 FY2027, Reporting 36% PAT Growth
DCB Bank Ltd. has announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY2027), ending June 30, 2026. The bank reported a significant increase in Profit After Tax (PAT) compared to the previous year's corresponding quarter, supported by strong growth in deposits and advances.The Board of Directors approved the Q1 FY2027 results, which were reviewed by statutory auditors Varma & Varma, Chartered Accountants and Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Chartered Accountants.
Key Financial Highlights
The Bank's Profit After Tax (PAT) for Q1 FY 2027 stood at INR 213 Cr., marking a 36% growth compared to the PAT of INR 157 Cr. recorded in Q1 FY2026.Operational performance showed robust underlying strength, with deposits growing year-on-year by 20%, and advances growing by 17%.
The bank maintained stringent asset quality standards during the quarter. As on June 30, 2026, Gross Non Performing Assets (NPA) stood at 2.43%, while Net NPA was reported at 0.84%. The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) stood at 79.81%, and when excluding Gold Loans NPAs, the PCR was 80.46%.
In terms of capital strength, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) as of June 30, 2026 was 17.03%. This ratio included a Tier I component of 14.90% and a Tier II component of 2.13%, adhering to Basel III norms.
Management Perspective
Praveen Kutty, Managing Director & CEO, commented on the results, noting that the growth momentum in both deposits and advances remained strong across the year. He attributed the marked improvement in profitability to operational efficiency and portfolio quality enhancements."The combination of cost to average assets being at a historic low, along with continued improvements in portfolio quality characterized by lower credit costs and lower gross and net NPAs, has enabled the Bank to register the highest ever quarterly PAT," Mr. Kutty stated. He added that this performance secures the fourth consecutive quarter of profitability, reporting a 2.05% improvement in Return on Equity (ROE) since last year.
