Chennai, July 30, 2026 - The Board of Directors at Data Patterns (India) Limited, a provider of strategic Defense and Aerospace Electronics Systems, approved its limited review financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. In a key operational update, the company also greenlit the acquisition of a Chennai-based composite manufacturing entity to bolster its in-house capabilities.

The financial performance metrics show movement across key indicators compared to Q1 FY25–26. Total Income for the quarter stood at Rs. 123.3 Cr, up from Rs. 109.9 Cr, while Revenue from Operations reached Rs. 116.0 Cr, an increase from Rs. 99.3 Cr in the corresponding period last year.

Operational EBITDA in Q1 FY27 was recorded at Rs. 31.4 Cr, marginally lower than the Rs. 32.1 Cr reported in Q1 FY25–26. Profit Before Tax (PBT) was Rs. 29.5 Cr against Rs. 34.0 Cr previously. Furthermore, Profit After Tax (PAT) for Data Patterns stood at Rs. 22.1 Cr, while the PAT in Q1 FY25–26 was Rs. 25.5 Cr.

The company announced a strategic move to acquire a 100% stake in ST Advanced Composites Pvt Ltd. (STAC), a Chennai-based entity, for a total consideration of Rs. 10 Cr. This acquisition is aimed at establishing an internal capability for producing composite parts required for the Company's radar and other programs, thereby expanding its product offerings.

Order Book Visibility Increases​

Data Patterns maintained healthy visibility through its order book position. The order book stood at INR 928 Cr as of June 30, 2026, showing growth from INR 730 Cr as of June 30, 2025. Furthermore, the total orders received and negotiated up to the reporting date amounted to INR 2,654 Cr.

CMD Commentary Highlights Opportunities​

Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Srinivasagopalan Rangarajan, Chairman & Managing Director of Data Patterns (India) Limited, stated that the quarter met expectations. He noted that order inflow has been encouraging throughout the financial year, with over Rs. 226 Cr in orders received so far, and more anticipated in the pipeline.

While revenue for the quarter was described as modest due to temporary delays in customer approvals, Mr. Rangarajan maintained confidence regarding future business prospects. He highlighted that strategic investments over recent years are starting to translate into stronger market positioning and meaningful business opportunities. The company continues to focus on counter-drone business and export initiatives, bolstered by the Government’s continued emphasis on indigenous defence manufacturing.
