The recent Q1 results showcased sharp contrasts across sectors. CCL Products India saw a monumental surge, with its profit soaring 61.3% to Rs 116.9 crore from previous figures of Rs 72.4 crore. This stellar performance came alongside a 13.7% rise in revenue, reaching Rs 1,200.4 crore.

Meanwhile, Tata Chemicals reported that its loss stood at Rs 17 crore, which was notably different from the profit recorded in the prior period of Rs 252 crore. Another notable result came from Bharat Electronics, whose revenue jumped a significant 25% to reach Rs 5,547 crore.

In contrast, Godfrey Phillips India faced headwinds, reporting a 44.3% sink in profit to Rs 198.4 crore, as its revenue fell by 18.9% to Rs 1,205.5 crore. Usha Martin reported strong growth, with profits zooming 40.7% and revenue increasing 16.4%.

Key Corporate Developments and Strategic Moves​

Major corporate shifts were noted in both the aviation and prepaid services industries. InterGlobe Aviation’s board approved a key management change for effective July 28, appointing Kiran Thadimarri, Deputy Chief Financial Officer, as the new Chief Financial Officer of the company.

In a significant strategic move, Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services secured a three-year agreement with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV). This partnership will see Zaggle provide its Zaggle Zatix and Corporate Credit Card Program to DICV for its fleet partners.

The equity structure of Meesho is set to undergo change as sources reported that Elevation Capital is likely to sell a stake worth Rs 1,200 crore through a block deal. Elevation Capital previously held a 12.04 percent stake in the company.
