Operational Strength and Strategic Expansion

Manufacturing revenue saw a notable increase of 20%, reaching ₹ 21,979 million compared to ₹ 18,323 million in Q1 FY26. Manufacturing EBITDA also rose by 10%, achieving ₹ 2,793 million from ₹ 2,536 million in the previous period, with manufacturing EBITDA margins standing at 12.7%. The company noted that 71% of its manufacturing revenue stems from powertrain-neutral products.

In a key financial move, Belrise successfully raised ₹ 17,000 million through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) during the quarter, bolstering its financial capacity to support planned expansion and growth initiatives.

The company also made strategic business moves, announcing the acquisition of Hyva India's tipper business in August 2026. This acquisition adds three manufacturing facilities located in Pune, Jamshedpur, and Bengaluru, strengthening Belrise’s capabilities in heavy fabrication and providing access to a European Commercial Vehicle (CV) OEM.

Key Order Wins Bolster Future Outlook

Belrise Industries secured several significant orders that expand its addressable market across various sectors, including automotive, aerospace & defense, and renewable energy.

Key operational highlights include:
  • A new chassis order for one of the fastest-growing 2W and 3W OEMs, with an annual revenue potential exceeding ₹ 650 million. Production is slated to begin in Q4 FY27 at the Bangalore facility.
  • Expansion into the renewable energy sector via a new facility established for a leading US-based solar tracker manufacturer. This facility aims to manufacture sheet-metal assemblies supporting approximately 2.5 GW of annual supplies, with a peak revenue potential exceeding ₹ 1500 million.
  • The company also won a major program from a leading Indian 4W OEM involving the localization of a high-selling EV model, which covers 59 unique assemblies. Belrise will support this project by providing tooling, fixtures, and automation, expanding its role toward end-to-end manufacturing solutions.

Management Commentary

Shrikant Badve, Managing Director of Belrise Industries Limited, commented on the Q1 FY27 performance, stating that it was a strong start to the fiscal year. He noted that the company continues to deliver growth while broadening its foundation for future expansion.

Mr. Badve emphasized that BIL is committed to moving beyond individual components toward larger assemblies and proprietary products, thereby increasing content per vehicle and deepening relationships with OEMs. "The business transfer agreement of Hyva India's tipper-body business is a good example of this approach," he stated. "It adds three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and expands our commercial vehicle capabilities into heavy fabrication."

He added that the order wins demonstrate their increased wallet share with existing clients and new OEM relationships, while the renewable energy opportunity proves their sheet metal and manufacturing capabilities are applicable beyond traditional automotive sectors.

BELRISE Stock Price Movement

On Friday, shares of Belrise Industries Limited edged higher to close at ₹255.35, settling with a gain of 1.01% or ₹2.58. The stock saw considerable trading activity, logging a volume of 5.2 million shares throughout the session.
