Mr. Singh also served as First Secretary (Consular) at the High Commission of India in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He was appointed as the Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Mr. Singh holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science and a Master's degree in History and is an alumnus of the National Police Academy, Hyderabad. His specialized training includes the Course of Indian Revenue Services Income Tax, Management Development Program at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, Overseas Command Course at Wakefield, UK, and a Major Case Management Course under the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington DC.
