The consolidated Q1 FY27 performance showed significant momentum, with revenue growing by 26% compared to the previous year. Revenue reached Rs. 929 crore in Q1 FY27, up from Rs. 738 crore in the corresponding period of the prior year. EBITDA grew strongly by 86%, hitting Rs. 188 crore against a previous figure of Rs. 101 crore.

  • The India Branded Business reached Rs. 156 crore in Q1 FY27, reflecting a growth of 21% compared to the previous year. This was attributed to performance from Diabetic therapy, NCE (EMROK), and the introduction of the Regenerative Derma segment.

Novel Antibiotics and Product Pipeline​

Wockhardt reported completing Phase 3 Clinical Trials for five novel antibiotics: Emrok®, Emrok O®, Miqnaf®, Zaynich®, and Foviscu®.

ZAYNICH® Highlights:
  • The drug was approved by the US FDA on May 28, 2026, for treating cUTI including Pyelonephritis, making it an India discovery and developed drug gaining US FDA approval. The EMA review process is ongoing, with the EMA stating that the submitted dossier is adequate for review across multiple indications (cUTI, cIAI, HAP/VAP, BSI).
  • CDSCO Subject Expert Committee approved the clinical data on March 10, 2026, with full approval expected by Q3 FY27 after CMC data review.

EMROK ® / EMROK O ®:
* These products registered a growth rate of 29% versus the previous year's Q1 FY27. They continue to address critical unmet needs in treating difficult-to-manage Grampositive infections, including bone and joint infections, diabetic foot infections, and pneumonia.

MIQNAF® NAFITHROMYCIN:
* This product has been approved and launched in India following the removal of the 'supply condition' by DCGI, which now facilitates marketing access to a wider patient population.

FOVISCU® (WCK 4282):
* India Phase 3 Clinical Trial for Foviscu successfully concluded, with an NDA Filing planned during Q3 FY27. The combined Phase 2 and Phase 3 program involved 324 hospitalized cUTI and AP patients, noting that over half (51%) of the Enterobacterales isolates were ESBL-positive.

Intellectual Property and Global Status​

In terms of intellectual property, one patent was filed during Q1 FY27. The company maintains a cumulative total of 859 patents, with 3291 filings made to date. Wockhardt is highlighted as the only company globally where US FDA has provided QIDP Status (Qualified Infectious Disease Product) for six of its Anti-bacterial discovery programs: three Gram Negative and three Gram Positive types effective against untreatable Superbugs.
