
Valiant Communications Secures INR 1,071 Lacs Order to Supply Data Storage and Sync Equipment to Power Grid Corporation of India
Valiant Communications Limited has announced that it has received significant purchase orders from system integrators for the supply of Data Storage Servers and Time Synchronization Equipment. The gross value of these orders stands at INR 1,071 Lacs (inclusive of taxes).The awarded projects involve serving the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), which is identified as a 'Maha-Ratna' enterprise of the Government of India. This contract reinforces Valiant Communications Ltd.'s position in developing India's sovereign data infrastructure and AI-ready storage ecosystem. A separate purchase order for an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is also pending.
Commenting on this development, Mr. Inder Mohan Sood, CEO of Valiant Communications, stated that the strategic value of the order greatly surpasses its commercial worth as it establishes entry into Data Centers—the foundation for all AI infrastructure and AI services. This represents a major commercial breakthrough for supplying data storage equipment to the rapidly expanding Data Center business vertical.
The company noted that it has successfully commissioned key data center equipment in THDC Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited and a 'Mini-Ratna' enterprise of the Government of India. In this project critical to national importance, Valiant is a Class 1 indigenous manufacturer whose Data Storage Equipment met the stringent ‘Category-1’ technical evaluation criteria.
Valiant Communications will also provide Time Synchronization Equipment based on GPS plus NavIC Satellite System from its synchronization portfolio. The report highlighted that NavIC, the operational name for Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS), provides a crucial sovereign layer of redundancy and is vital for national security.
The company underscored the Government's focus on commercial deployment of indigenous technologies to ensure critical infrastructure reduces dependence on foreign satellite systems. Mr. Sood praised the policy implementation efforts by the Government of India under 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', noting that Valiant Communications is well-positioned to benefit from these policies due to its continuous innovation, technology investments, and development of a state-of-the-art product portfolio for domestic and international markets.
Valiant Communications operates as a manufacturer and exporter of various IT/OT communications, transmission, protection, synchronization, NAS/SAN data storage equipment, and cyber security products. The company holds approval status with major power utilities, including Power Grid Corporation (India) and various National and State Electricity Boards.
