TCS and Anthropic Forge Global Partnership to Scale Enterprise AI Adoption with Claude

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has established a global strategic partnership with Anthropic, the developer of the Claude AI family, focused on accelerating enterprise AI scaling for clients globally. As part of this collaboration, TCS is set to deploy Claude models across diverse industries, aiming to transform core business functions and establish robust AI talent pools within enterprises.

The alliance positions TCS as a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network. The partnership is designed to address specific barriers found in highly regulated sectors where AI initiatives frequently stall during pilot phases due to stringent requirements for accuracy, oversight, and auditability. By integrating its governance, controls, and implementation expertise, TCS will enable enterprises to confidently deploy Claude models into production environments rather than limiting use to experimentation.

The collaboration involves a dual focus: strengthening internal capabilities and driving market adoption. TCS plans to equip 50,000 associates across various functions, including finance, legal, marketing, engineering, and sales, with access to Claude through an enterprise-wide licensing program. This internal deployment will allow TCS to refine its own operations while generating insights that benefit clients.

TCS and Anthropic plan joint market entry into AI solutions for numerous industries, including financial services, healthcare, public services, aviation, telecom, life sciences, and medtech. Together, the companies aim to co-innovate domain-specific workflows, modernization efforts, and customer experience transformations.

Partnership Scope and Applications

The partnership extends across several key operational areas:

  • Regulated Industry Deployment: A dedicated Business Unit within TCS will focus on delivering joint industry solutions and deep AI expertise using the Claude family of models.
  • UK Market Focus: Diligenta, a TCS business serving over 22 million Life and Pensions customers in the UK, will leverage Claude to enhance customer experience through agentic process transformation at scale. Furthermore, BFSI Products and Platforms teams will utilize Claude Code to boost productivity in Software engineering and IT Operations.
  • India Workforce Enablement: Through TCS iON, which conducts over 75 million annual assessments across 1,500 cities in India, the company will provide high-impact learning and certification programs on Claude models to build a future-ready, AI-certified workforce.
  • Technical Expertise: TCS will contribute its domain-led engineering expertise to the Claude Code ecosystem through reusable skills and plugins, including specialized capabilities such as lending advisory and claims adjudication.

Strategic Viewpoint

He noted that by combining Claude with TCS’s industry expertise and engineering rigor, the company will help customers transition rapidly to production, especially in industries where regulatory discipline and trust are paramount.

Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, highlighted that the partnership reinforces Anthropic's commitment to India, noting that TCS is bringing Claude access not only to enterprises but also to 50,000 employees across the region. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, added that the partnership aligns with their shared conviction regarding AI’s foundational role in global business, accelerating enterprise reinvention and equipping India's youth for the AI era.
