Sunlite Recycling Industries Limited announced robust performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, reporting consolidated revenue growth and expanding its presence across both Copper and Aluminium recycling operations. The company’s positive results follow the integration of Sunlite Aluminium Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary, strengthening its position as an integrated metal solutions provider.

The Business Update for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, highlighted strong growth in both segments, driven by increasing demand for high quality recycled materials across various industries.

Financial Performance Review (Q1 FY27)​

Sunlite Recycling achieved significant revenue growth in Q1 FY27. The overall consolidated revenue grew 74.62% year over year to ₹783.77 Crore.

The Copper Recycling business showed strong momentum in the first quarter, recording a 72.91% year over year revenue increase, supported by a 15.43% rise in sales volumes.

The Aluminium business recorded encouraging growth, posting a 102.25% increase in revenue and 52.24% growth in sales volume during the quarter compared to the previous year. The segment continues to benefit from rising demand for aluminium products in power transmission and electrical equipment sectors.

Operational and Strategic Expansions​

Operationally, Sunlite has expanded its product portfolio across both Copper and Aluminium, focusing on higher value added offerings such as ATC Wires and Copper Busbars to strengthen presence across multiple end use industries. The company operated with a combined installed manufacturing capacity of 37,000 MTPA.

The company remains dedicated to sustainable manufacturing, supporting resource efficiency and circular economy initiatives through its recycling based model while catering to the demand for sustainable metal products.

In terms of strategic developments, Sunlite approved a ₹37 crore capital expenditure program. This funding, derived from bank borrowings and internal accruals, is slated to expand Copper Wire Rod capacity up to 45,000 MTPA and Value added Products capacity to 3,540 MTPA. The project is scheduled for completion by Q1 FY2027-28.

To support technology enhancement, the expansion of the value added products facility will incorporate advanced Upcast and Conform technologies, enabling specialized copper product manufacturing for domestic and export markets. Furthermore, the Ahmedabad Branch Office has been operationalized to improve regional responsiveness and strengthen customer engagement across Western India.

Management Commentary​

Nitin Heda, Managing Director, commented on the announcement, stating, "We are pleased to report a strong start to FY27 with robust growth across both our Copper Recycling and Aluminium businesses. The successful integration of Sunlite Aluminium Private Limited marks an important milestone in our growth journey and strengthens our position as an integrated Copper and Aluminium solutions provider."

Mr Heda added that the focus remains on expanding manufacturing capacity, increasing the share of value added products, and enhancing operational efficiencies to create long term value for all stakeholders.

Sunlite Recycling Industries Limited was established in 2012 and specializes in manufacturing high quality copper products from recycled scrap at its state of the art facility in Kheda, Gujarat. The company processes copper scrap sourced globally, including from Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, and India, converting it into high quality copper solutions for domestic, industrial, automotive, power generation, transmission and distribution, and electronic sectors.
