Special Window Opens for Transfer and Dematerialization of Physical Securities for T T Ltd Shareholders
T T Ltd has initiated a one-year special window allowing shareholders to transfer and dematerialize physical securities that were bought or sold before April 01, 2019. This initiative provides a period for shareholders holding these legacy securities to convert them into dematerialized form. The special window is scheduled to run for a full year, commencing on February 05, 2026, and concluding on February 04, 2027.
This facility is designed not only for the transfer of physical certificates but also for previously rejected, returned, or pending transfer requests that were affected by documentation deficiencies or procedural issues.
Operational Details and Requirements
Securities transferred through this special window will be credited exclusively in dematerialized (Demat) format to the transferee's account. A key condition tied to this process is a lock-in period of one year, which starts from the date of transfer registration. During this mandated lock-in period, these securities cannot be pledged, transferred, or lien marked. To successfully avail of this facility, shareholders must ensure that their lodger possesses all original share certificates. Furthermore, they are required to submit all prescribed documents along with the original share certificate(s) to the Company’s Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (RTA).
The opportunity for transfer is strictly limited in scope; cases involving disputes between the transferor and transferee fall outside the purview of this special window and must be addressed through the appropriate judicial forum, including the Court or the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), as applicable.
