Gurgaon, India, July 23, 2026: Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd., a leading mobility technology company providing mission-critical systems for both electrified and non-electrified powertrain segments, reported strong financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company announced it had secured entry into new growth verticals such as Robotics and Physical AI, highlighted by achieving its highest-ever revenue and significant advancements in electric vehicle (EV) segment dominance.

The Q1 FY27 performance reflected robust operational health across the organization. Revenue reached Rs. 1,310 crores, marking a 54% year-on-year growth. The company saw substantial expansion in the EV market, with BEV revenue increasing by 107% YoY and comprising an all-time high share of 44% of total automotive revenue.

Strategic Pivot and Growth Aspirations

Speaking on the results, Mr Vivek Vikram Singh, MD & Group CEO, stated that Q1 FY27 signifies "Sona Comstar 2.0," reflecting an ambitious strategy for tenfold growth over the next decade. This strategic shift includes entry into Robotics and Physical AI.

A key aspect of this expansion is a partnership with DENSO, which facilitates Sona’s involvement in high-voltage electric and hybrid powertrain systems. The MD noted that the quarter delivered record results across revenue, BEV revenue, and EV share, demonstrating business diversification despite continued softness in the US EV market.

The company also announced a comprehensive strategy focused on three pillars: accelerating the building of new product verticals both organically and inorganically; intensifying focus on Eastern world markets; and targeting intelligent and connected systems as a long-term technology pillar alongside electrification. Sona Comstar has expanded its existing Sensors and Software vertical into 'Robotics and Physical AI'. This new area involves developing mission-critical components for Robotics and Physical AI, providing ER&D services, and manufacturing selected full-stack robot platforms.

Major Order Wins Bolster Future Pipeline

Operational highlights included the successful acquisition of three significant orders across EV, hybrid, and ICE programs. These orders span various global markets and product categories.

Key additions to the order book include:

• A program from a North American OEM for differential assemblies destined for their hybrid passenger vehicle platform, which added Rs 6.4 billion to the order book, with production slated for H2 FY29.
• Two orders secured from a New Age OEM of electric two-wheelers to supply hub wheel traction motors, adding Rs 900 million and expected to commence in H2 FY26.
• An order from another North American OEM for differential gears destined for their ICE passenger vehicle platform, valued at Rs 2.1 billion, with production starting in H2 FY28.
