Smarten Power Systems Reports Q1 FY27 Business Update, Expands Distribution and Achieves High Battery Production Milestone

Smarten Power Systems, an Indian company specializing in power backup and solar energy solutions for residential and commercial customers, reported its business update for the quarter ending 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY2026-27). The quarterly performance highlighted significant developments across sales, manufacturing, distribution network expansion, and infrastructure investment.

During the quarter, Smarten Power Systems sold approximately 1.18 lakh units of its product portfolio. Demand was driven by home UPS systems, solar power conditioning units (PCUs), batteries, and solar panels. The company noted increased demand for power backup solutions, attributing this to elevated summer temperatures and heightened electricity consumption across parts of northern India.

Operational and Infrastructure Enhancements

To manage seasonal demand and strengthen logistics capabilities, the company commissioned a new 5,200 sq. ft. warehouse in Gurugram, Haryana. This addition aims to support inventory management and dispatch operations for key markets in northern and north-western India.

Expanding its market reach, Smarten Power Systems onboarded 32 new distributors across nine states, thereby strengthening its distribution network throughout North, East, West, and South India.

Product Innovation and Manufacturing Milestones

The quarter saw several product enhancements and a major manufacturing achievement. Smarten launched the HELIX 1100-1250 series, a new range of MPPT-based solar power conditioning units (PCUs), broadening its solar offering. The company also introduced two new battery models to complement its energy storage solutions.

On the manufacturing side, the company recorded its highest monthly in-house battery production at approximately 6,600 units in June 2026 at its facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Furthermore, Smarten is progressing with the development of a forthcoming manufacturing facility designed to boost future production capacity.

Management Perspective

Rajnish Sharma, Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of Smarten Power Systems, commented on the operational performance, stating that "The demand environment for power backup and solar solutions continues to evolve alongside changing energy consumption patterns and increasing emphasis on energy resilience." He added that the company maintained a focus on ensuring its operational capabilities met these needs through strategic investments in manufacturing, distribution, and service infrastructure.

Smarten Power Systems also expanded its in-house after-sales service capabilities while continuing operations through its existing network of franchise service centres. The company remains committed to meeting growing demand through product innovation, distributor network expansion, and enhanced customer service delivery.

SMARTEN Stock Price Movement
