Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited (Mahindra Finance) announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027, ending June 30, 2026. Standalone Performance Highlights (Q1 FY27)​

Mahindra Finance recorded a significant Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹ 899 Cr for the quarter, marking a 70% year-over-year (YoY) increase. The company's Return on Assets (RoA) stood at 2.4%.

Key operational metrics showed robust growth:
  • Business Assets Under Management (AUM) grew by 13% YoY, reaching ₹1,37,449 crore.
  • Disbursements saw a high for the first quarter, growing by 22% YoY to ₹15,564 crore.
  • Net Interest Margin (NIM) expanded to 7.3%, a rise of approximately 55 basis points (bps) YoY.
  • Credit costs improved substantially, falling to 1.5% in Q1FY27 from 1.9% in the previous year.

The company maintained strong capital adequacy, reporting Capital Adequacy at 18.5%, Tier-1 Capital at 16.5%, and Prudent Provision Coverage on GS3 at 58%. A total liquidity buffer exceeding ₹ 14,650 crores was reported.

Operational and Segment Updates​

The company's quarterly disbursements of ₹15,564 crore were supported by Tractor financing (up 45% YoY) and PV (Passenger Vehicle) lending (up 24% YoY).

Asset quality remained stable across the portfolio. Stage 3 assets improved to 3.5%, down from 3.8% in Q1FY26, while Stage 2 assets improved to 4.9% against 5.9% in the previous quarter. Collection efficiency was steady at 95% for both Q1FY27 and Q1FY26.

In terms of business segments:
  • Vehicle Business: Mahindra Finance continues its leadership in tractor financing and ranks among leading NBFCs for passenger vehicles, used passenger vehicles, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs). The Udaan program is now fully integrated across vehicle lending, servicing, and collections.
  • New Engines: Diversification remains a strategic priority, with non-vehicle finance disbursements growing 79% YoY, including those from MRHFL. Fee-based income has been consistently rising.
  • Digital Capabilities: Digital and AI tools are being utilized to improve customer acquisitions, operational resilience, and collection efficiencies.

Consolidated Financial Performance​

On a consolidated basis, Mahindra Finance reported Total Income reaching ₹ 5,725 crore for Q1FY27, compared to ₹ 5,013 crore in Q1FY26 (an increase of 14%). The Profit After Tax saw a corresponding rise of 75%, amounting to ₹ 927 crore against ₹ 529 crore in the previous year.
