SBI Funds Management shares were successfully listed on the exchanges, marking a strong debut despite initial grey market expectations. The issue, which raised ₹9,812.91 crore, closed with the stock trading at a decent premium of 7 percent over its initial public offering (IPO) price following a robust primary market subscription.

Listing Performance and Market Reaction​

The IPO was highly sought after by investors, completing a remarkable 41.66 times subscription between July 14 and 16. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), SBI Funds Management shares debuted at ₹613.30 per share, reflecting a premium of 6.85 percent over the issue price.

The issue's pricing structure spanned a band of 545 to 574 per equity share. Conversely, on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the stock listed at ₹610 per share, achieving a 6.27 percent premium. Following the successful listing, the company achieved a substantial market capitalization of ₹1,24,246.48 crore.

IPO Financing and Anchor Investment Details​

Prior to the public issue, SBI Funds secured a significant commitment from anchor investors, raising an amount amounting to ₹2,663 crore. This early funding bolstered the listing process and provided immediate financial strength upon debut.

The achieved market performance was notably tempered against the pre-listing grey market expectation, which had anticipated a significantly higher premium of around 16 percent for the stock.

SBI Funds Management holds a significant position in the asset management space in India. Established in 1987, it stands as one of India's largest asset management companies based on quarterly average assets under management (QAAUM).

As of March 31, 2026, the company manages ₹12.51 lakh crore worth of mutual funds. This places SBI Funds Management with a notable 15.3 per cent market share within the industry segment.
