Mumbai, August 13, 2026 - Sammaan Capital Limited, one of India's leading non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), reported robust financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. This period marked the company's inaugural quarter as part of the IHC Group, a phase characterized by strategic growth and technological enhancement.

The company successfully grew its Assets Under Management (AUM) to ₹ 56,239 Crore, up from ₹ 53,160 crore in Q4FY26. During the quarter, Sammaan Capital disbursed ₹ 3,875 crore across five different product lines, indicating diversified growth without reliance on a single segment.

A key aspect of the operational strength was the prudent management of risk and asset quality. Of the total disbursements, 97% were secured while 3% remained unsecured. In terms of credit recovery, gross recoveries stood at ₹ 424 Crores, leading to net recoveries of ₹ 240 Crore after accounting for provisions and other credit costs.

Operational Enhancements and Ratings Boost​

The company maintained a growth-focused approach while adhering to prudent risk guardrails, simultaneously pursuing both organic and inorganic expansion opportunities. Sammaan Capital saw significant uplifts in its credit ratings, reinforcing investor confidence. CRISIL, CARE, and ICRA upgraded the company’s credit rating to AA+ (Stable). Furthermore, S&P Global provided an international rating of BB- (Stable) within 90 days of IHC's investment.

Operations were bolstered by a steady reduction in stock borrowing cost, which saw approximately an 85 bps reduction from Q2FY26 to Q1FY27. The company anticipates a further reduction of around 75 bps in this cost by the end of FY27.

In terms of technological and human capital development, Sammaan Capital is strengthening its leadership team with senior hires across various functions to support upcoming product launches and accelerate business growth. To drive future efficiency, the company identified 53 AI use cases for phased implementation throughout FY27-28. The quarter also saw the initiation of an AI-ready infrastructure, which includes a unified loan origination platform, a unified HR life cycle platform with employee self-service, major database and cloud infrastructure, a modern core LMS enabling automated onboarding and straight-through processing, and scalable cloud powering LOS, data lake and AI workloads.

Sammaan Capital is also strengthening cross functional integration with IHC across Risk, Finance, and IT functions.
