IRCON International Limited has confirmed that Shri Saleem Ahmad, Chief Managing Director (CMD) of Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), will assume the additional charge of CMD for IRCON International Limited. This move follows the forthcoming superannuation of the incumbent CMD.The assignment was decided by the Competent Authority and relates to the vacancy that will occur on July 1, 2026. The decision stems from the superannuation of Shri Hari Mohan Gupta (DIN: 08453476), who is set to leave his post on June 30, 2026.
According to reports, the additional charge of the CMD position at IRCON shall be entrusted to Shri Saleem Ahmad for a period of one year. This tenure begins from the date he assumes the charge, which must be on or after July 1, 2026. The assignment will conclude either upon the assumption of charge by the regular incumbent or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
IRCON International Limited is actively taking necessary steps for the subsequent appointment of a CMD in compliance with relevant regulations. The company stated that requisite disclosures regarding the new appointment will be provided once Shri Saleem Ahmad assumes the additional charge at IRCON.
