Honasa Consumer Limited, a prominent name in India's beauty and personal care sector, has announced a strategic move into the nutraceuticals industry. The company has acquired a majority stake of 58% in Fluence Pharma, a science-backed nutraceuticals company known for its patented Cyclical Nutrition Therapy (CNT 1) and robust dermatologist-led distribution network.

This acquisition marks Honasa's formal entry into the high-growth nutraceutical market, aiming to build science-backed solutions that address the evolving consumer demand for holistic "inside out" beauty in India. The overall Indian nutraceuticals market is estimated at over INR 16,000 Crore+, driven by increased consumer awareness of nutritional gaps and the expanding role of supplements within the beauty ecosystem.

To execute this strategic expansion, Honasa Consumer Limited will establish a dedicated subsidiary, Honasa Health Private Limited. Under this new entity, the company plans to scale a highly differentiated B2C nutrition portfolio. This strategy combines Fluence's patented clinical science and deep practitioner trust with Honasa's expertise in brand building, consumer insights, and digital-first distribution methods.

Varun Alagh, Co-founder and CEO of Honasa Consumer Limited, stated that the beauty and personal care landscape is shifting toward consumers seeking holistic, inside out solutions for their beauty concerns. He noted that while topical actives defined the last decade, he believes the next will be shaped by the convergence of science backed skin and hair care with nutraceuticals. "Fluence has built a strong scientific foundation through its patented Cyclical Nutrition Therapy," Alagh said. "We are excited to build on this foundation and scale it through Honasa Health, creating a consumer first nutraceuticals franchise that complements our science led beauty portfolio."

Fluence Pharma is founded by Amit Bhusari, a nutraceutical veteran with over 20 years of experience, and Dr. Rajendra Singh Rajput, a world leading trichologist and inventor of Cyclical Nutrition Therapy. The company uses its proprietary CNT to offer condition and gender specific, OTC supplement doses for complex hair and skin conditions.

Backed by over a decade of in clinic performance, Fluence Pharma has garnered the trust of more than 3,000 practicing dermatologists. The company reported approximately INR 40 Crore revenue and an EBITDA margin exceeding 20% in FY26.

By integrating Fluence's patented science and established dermatologist network with Honasa’s digital capabilities, the new business is positioned to drive long term growth in trusted nutraceuticals.
