The Government of India's Ministry of Defence has conveyed approval for the appointment of Shri Shailesh Vagerwal as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL).The order, which was issued by the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production on June 18, 2026, grants the appointment to Shri Shailesh Vagerwal. The position is set to be held until his superannuation or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier.
