Sagar Cements Commissions Partial Waste Heat Recovery System at Andhra Pradesh Plant​

Sagar Cements Limited has reported the successful commissioning of a significant portion of its Waste Heat Recovery Power System (WHRS) at its cement manufacturing plant in Gudipadu village, Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to optimize energy utilization at the facility.

The company announced that it has successfully commissioned 2.80 MW of the WHRS, specifically pertaining to the AQC boiler at the Gudipadu location.

The total planned capacity of the power system is 4.35 MW. Sagar Cements noted that the remaining capacity of 1.55 MW, which relates to the preheater boiler, is scheduled for commissioning by June 2026.

The commissioning milestone highlights the company's ongoing efforts to enhance energy efficiency and operational capacity at its plant located in Ananthapur District.

Today, Sagar Cements Limited shares edged higher to close at ₹184.99, posting a gain of 3.26% for the day. The equity settled on a volume of 518,082 shares, indicating strong interest throughout the trading session.
