PTC India Financial Services Ltd (PFS) held a conference call on July 29, 2026, providing an update on its financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Management detailed the operational strategy moving forward, highlighting a renewed emphasis on infrastructure financing despite Q1 being described as a muted transition period.

The company reported that it disbursed INR 117 crores during the quarter. Financial results showed a sustained focus on calibrated growth and portfolio consolidation. Strategic Shift and Operational Update​

Priya Chaudhary, Head of Investor Relations, noted that Q1 FY27 was a relatively muted quarter. The company affirmed its commitment to leveraging its two decades of experience and building a balanced and sustainable growth trajectory, centered on infrastructure financing as the primary growth engine. Management aimed to build a diversified lending portfolio across private sector, PSU, and government organizations.

Sanjeev Kumar, Director, Operations, provided details on the shift in strategic focus for FY27. He stated that Q1 was a period of transition while recalibrating strategy and strengthening leadership direction. Following Q1, operations showed acceleration, with sanctions exceeding INR 1,200 crores recorded in the first month of Q2.

The company has decided to pause its focus on the FI and SME book, prioritizing infrastructure financing across large, medium, and small ticket opportunities, maintaining an equal focus on private sector and PSU borrowers. Management emphasized that near-term priorities include deepening relationships with existing high-quality clients while maintaining disciplined underwriting standards.

Asset Quality and NPA Resolution​

Regarding asset quality, Dilip Srivastava reported stable metrics, noting that Gross Stage III assets stood at INR 190 crores, and Net Stage III assets after provisioning were INR 47 crores. The firm maintained that the Net Stage III assets constituted approximately 2% of net worth.

Addressing stressed assets, Kalur Srinivas confirmed efforts to resolve one significant NPA account through the NCLT process. The resolution is pending admission, which the company expects during the course of the current quarter, in line with IBC norms. The total amount pertaining to Stage III assets was reported at INR 190 crores, with the single account awaiting NCLT admission valued at INR 187 crores.

Future Outlook and Targets​

Management committed to creating value for investors over the coming quarters, acknowledging the period has not been entirely encouraging. The company confirmed its commitment to sustainable, risk-aware growth while actively managing cost of borrowing. Dilip Srivastava noted that the firm currently maintains sufficient liquidity and is in positive discussions with various institutions regarding additional financing facilities, with potential sanctions expected before the end of the next quarter.

Looking ahead, the management set a target for the Asset Under Management (AUM) to reach around INR 5,000 crores by the end of this financial year.
