Power Grid Corporation Wins Bidding for Inter-State Transmission System Augmentation Project​

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been successfully declared as the bidder for a significant Inter-State Transmission System project. The contract involves the augmentation and bay extension works across several key substations.

The successful bid was secured through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB). The project, specifically titled 'Augmentation at Bhadla-III, Ramgarh PS and Kanpur (PG)', will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.

The scope of work includes augmentation and bay extension operations across three substations located in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. These sites are Bhadla-III S/S in Rajasthan, Ramgarh S/S in Rajasthan, and Kanpur S/S in Uttar Pradesh.

Power Grid Corporation received the Letter of Intent (LoI) for this project on July 9, 2026.
