REC Limited Announces Incorporation of Three Wholly Owned Power Transmission Subsidiaries​

REC Limited has announced the incorporation of three new subsidiary companies. These entities are Wholly Owned Subsidiaries of REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), which itself is a subsidiary of REC Limited.

The three newly incorporated companies are Bhadla Ramgarh Power Transmission Limited, Lakadia II Power Transmission Limited, and Jam Khambhaliya Jamnagar Power Transmission Limited. According to records, these companies are considered subsidiaries of REC Limited under the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013.

The new subsidiaries were incorporated on May 9, 2026.

All three companies have been incorporated for the purpose of selecting bidders for these inter-state transmission projects, following the guidelines of Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).

The companies are related parties of REC Limited, as they are Wholly Owned Subsidiaries of RECPDCL. The promoter, promoter group, or group companies stated that they do not have any interest in the subsidiaries except to the extent of their shareholding.

The nature of consideration for these subsidiaries involves 100% subscription to the equity share capital in cash, with the shares being acquired at face value.

RECLTD Stock Price Movement​

On Friday, REC Limited shares slipped by 0.14% to settle at ₹359.40, marking a modest decline from the previous close. The stock traded within a range of ₹356.15 to ₹363.60, recording a substantial volume of 5.06 million shares.
