Karnal, Haryana — Oswal Pumps Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL). The order involves designing, supplying, and installing 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity across 18,089 consumer sites in the Darbhanga Circle of NBPDCL. This contract falls under the PM Surya Ghar - Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY) initiative, executed using a Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model.

The contract entails setting up GridConnected Rooftop Solar Projects, each having a capacity of 1.1 kW, targeting consumers in the Darbhanga Circle under NBPDCL's purview. The total value for installing these grid-connected plants for all 18,089 consumers is approximately Rs 78 Crore, including GST.

The projects must be commissioned within nine months from the signing of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). Furthermore, the scope includes a mandatory 10 years of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for the rooftop solar systems.

The opportunity presents significant long-term value. The projects have an estimated long-term revenue potential of approximately INR 67 Crore from energy supply over a decade under the RESCO model, translating into a cumulative revenue opportunity of approximately INR 145 Crore. Each beneficiary household is projected to receive about 15,000 units of solar power during the contract period.
