NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Government of India Enterprise and 'Navratna' company, has secured the composite license for critical mineral exploration in the Balod District of Chhattisgarh. The company confirmed that it was granted the requisite licenses by the Mineral Resources Department, Government of Chhattisgarh, for both the Semhardih Phosphorite & Limestone Block and the Raipura Phosphorite & Limestone Block.NLCIL’s successful tenure began with its participation in the Tranche-V auction of Critical and Strategic Minerals, which was conducted by the Ministry of Mines. At the auction, NLCIL emerged as the Preferred Bidder for the two mineral blocks in the Balod District, Chhattisgarh, on May 27, 2025.
