Hindustan Zinc Limited has been declared the successful bidder for a critical mineral block in Rajasthan following the Ministry of Mines, Government of India's, Critical Mineral Auction Tranche V.The Company participated in the live E-auction process organized by the Ministry of Mines. The auction was initiated through a Notice Inviting Tender dated January 20, 2025, aimed at granting Composite Licenses for critical and strategic mineral blocks.
Hindustan Zinc Limited was announced as the successful bidder for the Jhandawali -Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block of Rajasthan via a notification dated April 12, 2026. This success followed the Company making the highest Final Price Offer of 03.05% for the specific block.
The Jhandawali - Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block is noted within the tender document as being at G3 level of exploration, covering a total area of 1841.22 hectares.
The successful bid marks a significant development for the company's mineral portfolio. Following the declaration, a Composite License deed in favour of M/s Hindustan Zinc Limited for the Jhandawali - Satipura Amalgamated Potash and Halite Block of Rajasthan will be executed and submitted.
