
NALCO Q1 FY27 Net Profit Soars 88% to Rs.2002.38 Crore, Sets Production Records
National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, has reported robust operational and financial performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. The company registered an impressive 88% increase in net profit, reaching Rs.2002.38 crore.The results, which were approved by the Board of Directors in New Delhi, demonstrated strong growth across key financial metrics. Net Profit rose significantly to Rs.2002.38 crore from Rs.1063.86 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Furthermore, revenue generated from operations recorded a robust 39% growth, totaling Rs.5302.38 crore for the quarter.
The Board has also recommended a final dividend of Re.1/- per equity share (equivalent to 20% on the face value of Rs.5/-, or amounting to Rs.183.66 crores) for FY 2025-26, pending approval by shareholders at the upcoming 45th Annual General Meeting.
Operational Excellence and Record Highs
NALCO achieved record highs in its Q1 operations compared to the previous financial year. The company recorded its highest ever Q1 bauxite excavation at 19.52 lakh tonnes. Calcined alumina production also hit a record high, reaching 5.77 lakh tonnes. On the sales front, NALCO achieved its highest-ever Q1 sale of alumina/hydrate, amounting to 3.47 lakh tonnes.Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NALCO, attributed these impressive results to the strategic guidance from the Board and the commitment of all employees and business associates. He stated that the strong performance was supported by favorable global aluminium prices, higher production and sales volumes—especially increased domestic alumina sales—and a conducive domestic business climate.
Looking ahead, Shri Singh affirmed that NALCO remains focused on the completion of ongoing expansion projects. The company plans to add more capacities, enhance operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and pursue R&D innovation to ensure sustained value creation for all stakeholders.
