
Vedanta Aluminium Posts Stellar Q1 Results: Profit Jumps 205% as Revenue Reaches Record ₹21,105 Crore
Mumbai, July 30, 2026 — Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited (VAML), one of India's leading aluminium producers, announced exceptional unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company delivered a highly robust debut as an independent entity, marked by record-breaking revenue and significant growth in profitability across all segments.The company reported consolidated revenue surging to a historic high of ₹21,105 crore, marking a 45% increase year-on-year (YoY) and a 13% rise quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). EBITDA surged to ₹10,499 crore, up 134% YoY and 24% QoQ. Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹6,597 crore, reflecting strong operational performance, which translates to a 205% increase YoY and a 33% rise QoQ.
Reflecting its sustained high performance and strategic advancements, Vedanta Aluminium strengthened its balance sheet significantly. The Net Debt to EBITDA ratio improved to 0.9x from 1.3x in Q4FY26. Furthermore, both CRISIL and ICRA upgraded the company's credit rating to AA+ (Stable).

"As one of the world's leading aluminium producers, we aim to cater to the accelerating demand from energy transition, infrastructure, transportation, packaging, and advanced manufacturing sectors across India and global markets through our integrated value chain and expanding value-added portfolio," he stated.
Operational Milestones and Production Records
Vedanta Aluminium achieved an all-time high in aluminum production, reaching 632 KT, a 5% increase YoY and 3% QoQ. Value-added products (VAP) also hit a best-ever figure of 389 KT, up 14% YoY and 4% QoQ. Meanwhile, alumina production stood at 826 KT, demonstrating a 41% rise YoY through enhanced refining capacity and asset utilization.The company's operational metrics demonstrated robust cost efficiency. The EBITDA margin reached a best-ever 50%. Management highlighted the commitment to future growth, noting that the mining lease and mine opening permission for Kuraloi (A) North Coal Block, along with EC & FC-II for Sijimali Bauxite Mine, have been granted by MoEF&CC.
